ARK is governed by a voluntary Board of Management (the Board), who delegate the day-to-day running of the Association to our Management Teams.
The Chair, Depute Chair and Sub-Committee Chairs are also members of the Executive Board, which has delegated authority for decisions required on specific issues or within restricted timescales.

ARK also has two wholly owned subsidiaries, ARK Services Ltd, an asset owning company limited by guarantee for charitable objects only with properties for people with particular needs in Aberdeen and ARK Community Investment Ltd, (ACIL) a private company limited by shares that currently lets student accommodation in Edinburgh.
Tailored training designed to meet the needs of ARK is available to all Board members as and when required.
New Board members are provided with comprehensive induction materials and an experienced Board member is appointed to support or mentor a new member.
This process allows Board members to fulfil their governance role within the Association, knowing that their skills and expertise are up to date and being used in a meaningful way.
