ARK is governed by a voluntary Board of Management (the Board), who delegate the day-to-day running of the Association to our Management Teams.
The Chair, Depute Chair and Sub-Committee Chairs are also members of the Executive Board, which has delegated authority for decisions required on specific issues or within restricted timescales.
The Board has three established sub-committees:
Each sub-committee has specific terms of reference and functions delegated from the Board and with a Board member as its Chair.
Tailored training designed to meet the needs of ARK is available to all Board members as and when required.
New Board members are provided with comprehensive induction materials and an experienced Board member is appointed to support or mentor a new member.
This process allows Board members to fulfil their governance role within the Association, knowing that their skills and expertise are up to date and being used in a meaningful way.
