Job Title: SVQ Assessor
Hours: Full-time 37 hours (2 years fixed term)
Salary: £22,355 – 26,413
An exciting opportunity has arisen working as a temporary SVQ Assessor based in ARK’s Edinburgh Office.
The position holder will report to the Organisational Development Business Partner and will work closely with the SVQ Co-ordinator to provide comprehensive & professional SVQ assessments to ARK’s Support Workers and Managers. As part of ARK’s Learning and Development team, you will deliver high quality support to candidates in line with ARK’s Policies & Procedures.

As an SVQ Assessor you must have a background in social care and must be occupationally competent. This means that you must be capable of carrying out the functions covered by the units they are assessing, (SVQ 2, PDA Medication and L&D9DI), to the standard described within them, according to the current sector practice. This experience should be credible and maintained through clearly demonstrable continuing learning and development. The Assessor must have the ability to assess holistically the values contained in the National Occupational Standards.
You will be required to plan and organise own your work, work effectively as part of a team, and to communicate effectively, face to face and using ARK’s assessment and IT systems
